B. W. Plantations Sdn Bhd is committed to develop about 50,000 ha into oil palm plantations. These will be 100% owned by the Yayasan Sabah Group.

Sabah Softwoods Bhd. (SSB)

Incorporated in 1974 to establish commercial forest plantations as part of the effort to sustain in perpetuity Sabah’s forest resources and return on investment.

SSB is currently 70% owned by ICSB with the main objective to reforest 60, 729 ha [40, 486 ha at Brumas and 20, 243 ha at Kalabakan] of logged forest land.

To date, 36,466.04 ha has been planted with fast growing trees and 14,164.91 ha with oil palm.

Jeroco Plantations Sdn Bhd

Incorporated in 1980 to undertake development of oil palm, cocoa, rattan and jelutong tree plantations in the Lahad Datu region.

ICSB hold 30% equity in the company, the major shareholder being Hap Seng Consolidated Berhad, a public listed company on the Main Board of KLSE.

To date the company has planted 12, 756 ha with oil palm and has 86 ha of Jelutong trees. It also owns two crude palm oil processing mills with a total capacity of 90 metric ton/hour. Its mill is expandable to a total of 120 ton/hour.

Samel Plantation Sdn Bhd

Samel Plantation Sdn Bhd is a smart partnership between Yayasan Sabah and Yayasan Melaka, established under the Yayasan Melaka Enactment 1984 and Yayasan Sabah Group through its wholly-owned subsidiary B. W. Plantation Sdn Bhd. The joint Venture Agreement was entered into on September 13, 2004.

The joint venture is on a 50:50 shareholding to develop 5,380 ha of oil palm in the Tawau region. The joint venture will have its own professional management team to manage the plantations and to go into downstream oil palm processing.
